I think Sproles is the start even in standard scoring. The Panthers have been brutal against the run this year, while the 49ers have one of the better run defenses in the league.
You can make a good argument for Blount in standard scoring, but Sproles could be in for a HUGE week.
Go with Sproles in either format. In the past 4 games SF has not allowed more then 64 yards to an opposing teams running back. In total they have allowed 296 rushing yards to opposing teams. That includes Vicks 75 rush yards.
Also SF has not allowed a single rushing TD in the past 4 games.
Once again, Start Sproles
Here is what SF gave up to teams starting RB’s.
33 in week one to M. Lynch
25 in week two to Felix Fones
64 in week three to Cedric Benson
18 in week four to LeSean McCoy (75 rush yards to Vick)
PPR wise i would go with Sproles easy. He’s been a total beast lately in the passing game and wont stop with Brees throwing all day every day.
If not, I would go with Blount. He’s the better runner of the 2.
