Should I trade Vick for this big package?
OK, so I am in an 8 team league with some guys from my town/ high school. We drafted early august and I lucked out and I think I had a solid draft, but I could use some improvement at WR and HB I think. I’m not sure though. This is a non-keeper, and non-ppr.
Anyway, here was the trade that was offered to me:

I am trying to talk the guy into giving me Jamaal Charles instead of gore, which would make the decision a lot easier, but we’ll see about that. There are also some solid guys on FA, such as Marshawn Lynch, James Starks, Robert Meachem, and the rams recievers I like, Donnie Avery and Danny Amendola.
My current team, and the round in which I drafted them in parentheses. I picked 2nd.

My format is exactly as I’ve written it: 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 K , 1 DEF
If he changes it to Charles then absolutely you do the trade. As the way it is right now I think you sit on it. I don’t think you are improving enough with the RB and WR position to make up for the drop off in production you will get in between Vick and Romo. You will end up having two QBs Schaub and Romo that will get you about the same production each week.

LikeDislikeI agree wholeheartedly. I suspect Hillis and Gore will have similar numbers so then you get a fair to ‘middlin’ upgrade at WR for a potentially HUGE downgrade at QB. I just can’t rationalize trading Vick this season without “certain” overall improvement as in my opinion, Vick is the most exciting and intriguing fantasy player since I’ve been doing it, 10 years now.
How did Vick fall to a second round pick? Especially late second round (assuming it was a snake draft?).
