Is my Saves cushion big enough to firesale all my closers?
In my Roto league, I’m solidly in 2nd place with 102 saves and not catching the team that’s leading. I want to sell closers for SP to.
Do you think it’s late enough in the season that I can sell ALL my closers? Take a look at the standings (I’m “Life’s a Beachy”) and let me know what you think. Trade deadline is just a couple of days away.

Unfortunately you are in no mans land here. Your lead in saves is only 16 which technically shouldn’t be enough for you to sell but you are fortunate that the two teams closest to you have terrible closers. There are couple of points to consider here:
1. If you sell all your closers you are going to open up a window for the upper guy to trade his closers off as well, there will be no heat on him and so he can not only improve his team via trade he can hurt yours by trading his closer to the teams chasing you in that category.
2. Why trade for SP? In a 10 team league there should be plenty of talented SP hitting the wire soon. There is no reason to trade your closer for SP, instead you should focus on moving them for added offensive players. Your focus on RP for SP would not be the most expeditious use of the value. Right now you are relying way too heavily on rookie players – get out from under them while you can. Upgrade them to reliable bats using your closers as leverage.
3. Do I understand correctly that your league has not IP max limit? If so streaming SP might actually be a good strategy for you. In most leagues it is suicide but in such a shallow league it is possible if you are skilled to stream and make up huge ground in K, W and QS.
4. If you do decide to trade them it will only work if you go all in. Move now. Offer trades to every team over and over. DO NOT try to nitpick. With the deadline just a few days away you need to be VERY aggressive in your marketing. AND DO NOT advertise on the league boards what you are doing. This needs to be done privately in emails and offers.
